1. Service overview

CATCH is a local media download tool for Windows and Google Chrome. It helps users detect and download non-DRM media they are permitted to save.

2. Local processing

Core media downloading and file processing take place on the user's PC. The Chrome Extension may communicate with the CATCH Local Engine through Native Messaging and may use FFmpeg and FFprobe locally when required.

3. Page URLs and media-detection information

To detect media, CATCH may process the current tab URL, media requests observed on the page, and media-related metadata. Processing is limited to what is necessary to provide product functionality.

4. Native Messaging

Native Messaging may be used to connect the Chrome Extension with the local engine. This communication is intended to perform product functions on the user's local device.

5. Download history and settings

Download progress, completion history, file names, and user-selected preferences may be stored locally to provide product functionality.

6. Anonymous error reporting

Anonymous error reporting is designed to operate only when the user explicitly enables it. The exact fields collected, destination, and retention period will be reflected here when the production reporting infrastructure is finalized.

7. Account information

If PRO account features are connected, the minimum information needed for sign-in or license verification may be processed. The current landing page does not connect to a live account API.

8. PRO payments

If PRO payments are enabled, a payment provider may process transactions. Payment provider: To be announced. We do not name an unconfirmed provider as if it were already in operation.

9. Information we do not collect

10. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored history and settings are designed to be removable through product controls or by removing application data. If server-side storage is introduced, the applicable retention and deletion rules will be added to this policy.

11. Security

Our baseline principles are data minimization, local processing first, and avoiding unnecessary storage of authentication information. No internet or software environment can guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

CATCH is not designed to intentionally collect personal information from children. Additional procedures will be implemented where required by applicable law.

13. International transfers

If future error-reporting, account, or payment providers use infrastructure outside the user's country, the applicable international-transfer details will be disclosed based on the actual production setup.

14. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing relating to their personal information. The request channel will be published once the privacy contact is finalized.
